Community and Urban Gardening as Outreach and Evangelism

Agrimissions offers churches, religious organizations and non-profits the opportunities to share the Gospel and reach out to help the poor in a real and practical way. To complement our already successful international program we have developed a unique program to train individuals and groups interested in becoming involved in community or urban gardening. We have a complete comprehensive program designed to train both the Master Gardener and the Novice Gardener. The key component of training is combining outreach evangelism.

Many opportunities abound to get to know your neighbors in real and practical ways while sharing Jesus and helping others.

Goal
To provide training to individuals and groups interested in utilizing gardening techniques to support themselves, support surrounding communities, and to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Urban Gardening

Utilize raised beds and other gardening techniques to help those  who are struggling with limited food sources (food desserts) in urban communities.

Community Gardening
Community gardens are becoming increasingly popular in many areas of the country. Agrimissions offers a program to help churches and religious organizations organize and establish effective community gardens in the name of the Christ. Through contact with community garden participants and observers, members are able to witness and demonstrate God's love for all. Agrimissions has a well-trained and qualified group of workers ready to assist you in both evangelism through community gardens and techniques and methods of starting a community/urban garden. Additionally, Agrimissions is available on a continuous basis to provide technical assistance, if needed.
